Nine-year-old Sandeep Kumar lives in Rajgir of Bihar, India. You're probably wondering what happened to his tummy. Actually, his distended belly was the result of a urinary disorder. His parents sought medical attention five years ago, but eventually gave up as they couldn't afford surgery. But as luck would have it, Dharma Master Cheng Yen, the founder of Tzu Chi Foundation based in Taiwan, noticed him in the background of a video and asked Tzu Chi volunteers to look for him. After a day's search and inquiry, the volunteers found the boy and later brought him to New Delhi for treatment. After surgery, urine was steadily drained from Sandeep's belly every day, significantly reducing his waistline. Sandeep still needs time to make a full recovery, but, without a doubt, walking is no longer a chore for him.
